Top Toxic Fungi Infested Foods

Posted on July 23, 2022 by Rocco Therien

Many fungi naturally create a substance referred to as a mycotoxin throughout their digestive process. These mycotoxins are toxic to humans, plus some are really toxic if ingested even yet in small quantities.

There are some foods that naturally contain high degrees of these mycotoxins, & most folks aren't even aware that mycotoxins exist, significantly less that people eat them inside our food supply. The foods that a lot of often contain high concentrations of mycotoxins are grain crops, nuts, sugars and cheese. We will have a look at probably the most contaminated of the foods in this post.

Let's start out with the grain foods, given that they normally exhibit the bigger levels. Corn, wheat, barley, and rye contain what's referred to as "universal contamination". What this really means, is they contain a wide variety of fungi, that it's a universal contamination. The degrees of contamination tend to be extremely high, and so are carried over in to the foods created from these grains.

The next group of foods with high degrees of contamination is sugars. Sugars include sugar cane, sugar beets, and sorghum. Not merely do the sugars support the contamination, they fuel the growth of several of the fungi, because sugar may be the food of preference for fungi.

Nuts and the oils created from these nuts are heavily loaded with contamination. Actually, one study found as much as 24 different types of fungi in peanuts alone. The thing worth mentioning here, peanuts, along with other nuts we eat, often come in the shell, and there is absolutely no great way to even commence to eliminate these fungi and mycotoxins from the shell nuts. So, once you eat nuts still in the shell, there exists a direct intake of fungi and mycotoxins made by these fungi.

The last food category on the list is cheese. Now, everyone understands that cheese will grow mold. When you can start to see the mold growing, you understand the fungi exists through the entire cheese, because of the truth that fungi have the ability to penetrate their host, regardless of the material: cheese, tile, grout, no matter. The fungi can grow through the material. Here again, there's direct usage of the fungi that lives in the cheese.
